I decided to spend my lunch break today with a short paddleboard trip up and back on the Wekiva River. The Wekiva has always been one of my favorite places to get away from it all, and I especially appreciated the lack of boat traffic that I usually see on the weekends.
The water seemed clearer, the animals seemed more relaxed, and the river overall was generally much more peaceful. I’m definitely going to have to schedule a longer trip on a weekday soon.
